Never Underestimate the Power of Prayer

Each week our pastoral staff and prayer team pray for all the requests that come in during the week. You can find these requests on the HCC APP under "Join the prayer team."

When we pray, we are doing what 1 Peters 5:7 instructs us to do in anxious times. "Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you."

Not just some of your anxieties, but all of them. Anything that causes you to worry or be anxious; God wants to hear about them. As you pray, you are reaffirming the fact that "God's got this!." Often those kinds of prayers are met with his peace and presence.

We want to encourage you never to underestimate the power of prayer. We may not be able to leave our homes, but we can move heaven and earth by our prayers. Will you join us in praying for those impacted by COVID-19? Pray for our healthcare workers who are sacrificing so much, for those in decision-making positions, and for those who desperately need God's provision and love in this season.

We want to join our prayers with yours. Please let us know how we can pray for you. (Prayer Request)

GOOD FRIDAY
Join us on the HCC App starting Monday  for Holy Week as we journey together towards Easter Sunday. We will also be providing a Good Friday service through Zoom on April 10 at 8:00 pm. Here is the link to join that service. (ZOOM Link) All you need to do to prepare for the service is to set aside some bread or crackers and some juice to celebrate communion together in a very innovative way.

Easter Sunday: Let's Hear Your Voice!
As we celebrate Easter, we want to remember that HCC is still a community event though we celebrate apart — so we need your help. Please record yourself, your family, your roommates, or your friends reading Matthew 28: 1-10 in the NIV version. Here are some easy instructions:
1. Film yourself reading Matthew 28:1-10 NIV (Feel free to film together with your significant others, families, and/or roommates.)
 2. Film yourself in holding the phone horizontally in a well lit area.
 3. Upload your video HERE by Thursday, April 9
